Who We Are
G20+ Enugu Diaspora Support UK and Ireland is a not-for-profit limited company by guarantee, working in all 17 Local Government Areas of Enugu State and across the country of Nigeria. We promote cervical cancer awareness, support children aged 9-15 years with cervical cancer vaccine and conduct screening test to all childbearing women. We’ve been working for a world free of cervical cancer.
Mission: Our mission is to save more life by intensifying the research, and awareness of cervical cancer, serving the vulnerable population, and providing equitable access to cancer vaccines and care.
Core Values: We are moved by our core values including equality, inclusion, dignity, compassion, and timely intervention. These are demonstrated in the way we provide vaccine and screening programs to communities.
What we do
- We provide cervical cancer vaccines, routine HPV screening to vulnerable populations.
- We organize education programs to promote awareness and knowledge of cervical cancer.
- We provide training to healthcare workers and community leaders on how to control and prevent cervical cancer.
- We influence decision making process by providing them with up-to-date information about cervical cancer based on our research findings.
Our Impact Measures
- Over 300 cervical cancer vaccines have been distributed to schools and hospitals in Enugu metropolis of Enugu state.
- Over 100,000 inhabitants of Enugu state and civil organizations have benefited immensely from our cervical cancer awareness promotion.
- We have organized a one-day high-profile discussion with Enugu State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, WHO, Women Medical Association of Nigeria, and other civil organizations on to how prevent cervical cancer and improve public health in Enugu State.
- We have distributed 20,000 hardcopies of survey for data collection aiming to provide statistics on the level of awareness and knowledge of cervical cancer in Enugu State.
